The IP-RK-10 is fully compatible with all versions of the Netvio JP4 Series, including transmitters, receivers, the JP4, JP4-60, JP4-60-DNT, and the IP-JP4-CL-10 system controller.
The IP-RK-10 is engineered to hold up to 10 Netvio JP4 devices within a compact 6U height. This makes it an exceptionally space-efficient solution, especially for medium-to-large scale AVoIP deployments where multiple encoders and decoders are required.
By consolidating everything into a single rack chassis, it minimizes clutter, reduces the need for additional rack hardware, and helps maintain a clean and organized AV system.
Yes. The IP-RK-10 is designed with built-in rack ears and ships complete with alignment brackets, blanking plates, and all necessary mounting screws for securing Netvio devices into the chassis. This means installers don’t have to source third-party accessories or fabricate custom solutions for the devices themselves.
The only hardware not included are the bolts used to secure the chassis into the rack rails, as these vary depending on the rack manufacturer. Most AV racks use M6-type bolts (or similar cage nut/bolt systems), which are normally supplied with the rack cabinet. Installers should check whether their rack requires M6, M5, or 10–32 bolts before installation.
Generic shelves and rack trays can hold devices, but they don’t provide the precision fit, airflow optimization, and professional presentation that the IP-RK-10 delivers. With the IP-RK-10, every device is securely fixed in place, preventing movement during service, transport, or vibration.
The chassis also ensures consistent spacing and cable management, making the system easier to maintain long-term. For client-facing racks, the result is a much more polished and professional installation.
Yes. Your Netvio warranty remains fully valid regardless of whether you use the IP-RK-10 rack chassis or mount your devices another way. The warranty covers the product itself — encoders, decoders, controllers, or other Netvio devices — provided they are installed and operated according to Netvio’s guidelines.
That said, the IP-RK-10 is strongly recommended because it helps avoid problems that can lead to unnecessary service visits. The rack has been engineered to hold devices securely, maintain correct airflow, and protect against cable strain or movement.
While the cost of a rack is insignificant compared with the cost of service visits, skipping a proper mounting solution increases the risk of overheating, loose connections, or accidental damage — situations that may not be covered under warranty.
By using the IP-RK-10 or other official Netvio mounting accessories, you not only protect your hardware investment but also protect your business by delivering a more reliable installation with fewer long-term service issues.
