MX-H2-0404-10 Wiring Diagram
  • he MX-H2-0404-10 is fully compliant with HDMI 2.0b and supports video resolutions up to 4K60 4:4:4 (18Gbps). This includes premium HDR formats such as HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and HLG, ensuring accurate color reproduction and lifelike picture quality on modern UHD displays. For flexibility, each output can also be independently downscaled to 1080p, allowing the matrix to integrate seamlessly into systems with both 4K and Full HD screens.

  • Yes. The MX-H2-0404-10 is a true 4×4 matrix, meaning any of the four HDMI sources can be routed to any of the four HDMI outputs in any combination. This makes it possible to display the same source on all screens, send unique sources to individual displays, or mix and match as needed. With the added ability to scale outputs, the unit is particularly effective in multi-display environments such as classrooms, boardrooms, or retail spaces.

  • For best performance, use Premium High-Speed HDMI cables certified for 18Gbps bandwidth, which are required for stable 4K60 4:4:4 HDR video transmission. For shorter distances (up to 3m / 10ft), standard certified HDMI cables will work reliably. For mid-range distances (up to 10m / 33ft), higher-quality UHD-rated HDMI cables are recommended.

When longer distances are required, we recommend using active solutions:

    • HDMI Extenders over Cat6/6a – Ideal for extending HDMI signals over structured cabling while maintaining UHD quality.

    • Active Optical Cables (AOC) – Provide lightweight, flexible fiber-based HDMI connections that can reliably support full 18Gbps 4K60 HDR over much greater distances.

  • Absolutely. In addition to passing audio over HDMI, the matrix provides de-embedded audio outputs for each HDMI output. Installers can extract audio as analog stereo (mini-jack) for straightforward connection to amplifiers or speakers, or as digital coaxial (RCA) for integration with AV receivers and other equipment. Supported formats include PCM, Dolby Digital, and DTS, making the MX-H2-0404-10 suitable for both professional AV and residential surround sound applications.

  • RC is available on the HDMI outputs and allows a connected display (such as a smart TV) to return audio back through the matrix. This audio is routed to the coaxial digital outputs, enabling simple connection to external amplifiers or sound systems without additional cabling. This feature is especially useful in residential setups where TV-based streaming apps are in use, or in commercial projects where display audio needs to be redistributed.

  • The unit provides a range of control options to suit both installers and end-users. Day-to-day switching can be done via the front panel buttons, the supplied IR remote, or through the license-inclusive NetvioGo app available for iOS and Android. For integration into control systems, RS-232 and TCP/IP with web GUI are provided, making the matrix compatible with automation platforms such as Crestron and Q-Sys. This flexibility allows the MX-H2-0404-10 to be used in projects of all sizes, from simple single-room installs to complex AV environments.
