The EX-2CH-300-10 uses a single CAT5e/6 cable to carry both audio and power. For best performance, we recommend using high-quality solid-core CAT5e or CAT6, which ensures clean signal delivery and maximum distance. In electrically noisy environments, such as near heavy equipment or lighting systems, a shielded cable may be used to further reduce interference.
No, the receiver includes a built-in DAC with a selector switch, which lets you choose whether the output is analog stereo RCA or digital SPDIF. This makes the unit flexible for integration into both legacy 2-channel analog audio systems and modern digital signal chains, but it is designed to deliver one format at a time for signal integrity.
No. Thanks to bidirectional Power over Cable (PoC), only one device — either the transmitter or receiver — needs to be connected to a Micro-USB power supply. Power is then sent over the CAT cable to the other device. This reduces the number of power outlets required and makes installation much cleaner, especially for receiver units located near amplifiers or displays.
Yes. The extender is compatible with a wide range of formats including LPCM 2.0/5.1, Dolby Digital, DTS, and Dolby Digital Plus. It supports sampling rates from 32 kHz up to 192 kHz at 24-bit resolution, making it suitable for both simple stereo background music systems and higher-quality home cinema or pro-AV applications where multi-channel audio is required.
The EX-2CH-300-10 is designed for flexible integration across residential and commercial AV systems. It is commonly used to send high-quality audio from media players or rack-mounted sources to amplifiers in another room, extend sound from conference room sources to remote speakers, or provide audio distribution in hospitality environments. By supporting both analog and digital formats, it works equally well in legacy systems and modern installations.
