Uncompressed, lossless audio ensures the full fidelity of premium formats such as Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, and Dolby Atmos.
Unlike compressed signals, every detail and dynamic is preserved, delivering cinema-quality sound exactly as intended.
With the EX-EARC-100-10, installers can extend eARC over long distances with complete confidence that no performance is lost.

The EX-EARC-100-10 supports the latest HDMI eARC standard, which means it can carry uncompressed, high-resolution multichannel audio formats such as Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, and Dolby Atmos. By comparison, ARC-only extenders are limited to compressed formats like Dolby Digital or DTS 5.1. This difference is critical for home theaters and professional AV systems where premium surround sound performance is expected. With the EX-EARC-100-10, you can achieve the same audio quality over CAT cabling as if the AVR or processor were directly connected to the TV.
Yes. The extender includes a dedicated SPDIF mode, which allows digital optical audio to be extended up to 100 m even from TVs or sources without ARC/eARC. This makes it a versatile solution that can bridge both modern and legacy systems. For example, an older display may only provide optical output, while a new AVR or soundbar might expect HDMI eARC — the EX-EARC-100-10 ensures compatibility in either scenario without requiring extra converters.
No. Thanks to bidirectional Power over Cable (PoC), only one unit needs to be powered using the supplied 12 V adapter. The second unit automatically receives power through the CAT cable, eliminating the need for multiple power outlets at both ends. This not only makes installation cleaner but also saves time in rack builds and retrofit projects where powering both ends might be inconvenient. Both transmitter and receiver have a DC input, but only one adapter is required in practice.
For optimal performance, we recommend using CAT6, CAT6a, cable. These higher-grade cables ensure maximum bandwidth and stable transmission over the full 100 m (328 ft) distance. Standard CAT5e can work for shorter runs, but at higher sample rates or with uncompressed formats such as Dolby Atmos, the more robust cabling provides greater reliability and signal integrity. In environments with high electromagnetic interference, shielded variants (STP) may be preferred to further reduce the chance of dropouts.
The EX-EARC-100-10 is widely used in home cinema systems, boardrooms, and hospitality AV installations. In residential projects, it is perfect for sending premium audio formats from a wall-mounted TV back to an AVR or amplifier located in a central rack. In commercial and hospitality spaces, it ensures that long-distance audio connections are possible without compromising quality, making it suitable for multi-zone music distribution or conference systems where both legacy SPDIF and modern HDMI eARC sources must be supported.
